Dear Potential Sponsor,

Thank you for your consideration to Sponsor the 2025 Isle of Palms Connector Run & Walk for the Child to be
held Saturday, October 4, 2025. This charity race has continued annually since the Isle of Palms Connector was
built in 1993. We are proud to promote healthy lifestyles in the Lowcountry while having raised and donated
nearly $2 million dollars for the prevention and awareness of child abuse.

This charity event is a coordinated effort between the Isle of Palms Exchange Club, the City of Isle of Palms and
the Town of Mount Pleasant. Our team of dedicated volunteers puts in countless hours each year to continue
to raise funds for our worthy charities. You can be assured that ALL sponsorship money raised flows to our
charitable causes. Organizations such as Windwood Farm, HALOS, Lowcountry Orphan Relief, Dee Norton Child
Advocacy Center, Landmarks for Families, My Sister’s House, Florence Crittenton, Doors to Freedom and
Darkness to Light are examples of past years’ beneficiaries.

We have been very fortunate in fundraising for this event and each year we try and do a little better. Here’s
some recent history; in 2020, the Run was canceled due to the pandemic and we still raised and donated over
$50,000. 2021 was another good year in which $75,000 was donated followed by 2022, where we nearly
reached the $100,000 mark. In 2023 we finally did it; we raised and donated $110,000! But last year, we set
our sights REALLY HIGH……our goal was $125,000. And guess what? We did it - $146,000 was raised and
donated!! Our goal for 2025 is to raise and donate $150,000 and we are counting on your help!

Child abuse is a hidden epidemic that is happening around the globe, and the United States is no exception. In
fact, out of all of the industrialized nations, the U.S. has one of the worst records of child abuse. According
to child abuse statistics shared by the nonprofit Childhelp, a report of child abuse is made every ten seconds in
the United States. Sadly, South Carolina has one of the highest rates of child abuse in the United States.

Please join us in making this year’s Run the most impactful yet! We are counting on you and we thank you!

Sincerely,
